(8/27/1890 Philadel-phia-11/18/1976) (USA / France); aka Ray, Man
   Painter, sculptor, author, graphic artist, collag-ist, assemblagist, and photographer. Major figure in the development of Modernism, his work included covers several style movements, especially Dadaism and Surrealism.
